It seems like we cover a lot of Zelda news here at Tikisaurus. The games, the posters, the special edition consoles…and now the Japanese anniversary playing cards!

0 The Zelda Anniversary Cards are here!

Randy sent these to me all the way from Nippon, and boy are they pretty. Each suit pays tribute to a specific game in the franchise (Hearts are Wind Waker themed, spades are original Legend of Zelda themed, diamonds are Ocarina of Time themed and clubs are Skyward Sword themed) and every card contains unique artwork. I especially love how Link is the Jack, Zelda is always the Queen and the villain is the king.

No word on a U.S. release date, so you’ll have to import these if you want ‘em. Or you could just enter our Free Stuff Friday drawing next week, because I’m sadly giving these away. More details coming soon.

    Glad they got there safely.

      Thank again Randy!

If I knew you were going to give these away, I would have thrown an extra deck in there for you. BTW did the jewel case survive the trip for that game?

        • Serathis

Yes, it did! Expertly packed! :D
I felt kind bad deciding to give them away, but people really wanted them.

technically no, but I personally see it as each art style as opposed to each game. you have toon cell shaded from WW, PH and ST. the pastel look of SS. the more realistic look of OoT, MM and TP. finally the 8 bit and 16 bit look Zelda 1, 2, LA and LttP. technically minish cap isn’t in there, but it’s isometric so it’s close enough to the 16 bit ones for me.
